Meet The Fit Genie!!

Who among us hasn't wished at least once in their life that they could find a genie in a bottle, that would grant them three wishes, or even ONE wish!!  Well, today is your day!  I'm launching a new FREE service to help people, like myself, that have been searching for ways to shrink their bodies and become healthier, inside AND out.  Over the years,  I've come across a lot of tools to help with this process and would love to share them with you.  You can see the new appointment scheduler app on the right side of my page.  Note: You won't actually be making an appointment in the regular sense of the word, you're putting yourself on my books so we can discuss your particular goals and ideas for the best way to reach them.  I can give you tips, recipes, evaluate your current exercises, etc., sometimes just knowing certain things about your body can help you make better decisions going forward. This seems like a great tool that can help me keep track of everyone and their info, so please give it a try!
UPDATE: My replies to you will be from wrapmeskinny@earthlink.net, make sure you add me to your list of approved senders!

12 Things Happy People Do Differently

Expectations and Common Sense

We all have an ideal number in our head of where we want to be...size, weight, etc.  Whatever that goal is, we all have different ways of reaching it.  Eventually, if we're lucky, we hit it!  Then what? Well, some live happily ever after and that's that.  But for most of us, the tale is a little bit grimmer. Personally, I hit my goal, relax, and then before i know it, am halfway back to where I started.  Super frustrating!  The hardest part of making changes is realizing that change has to be more than a week of not eating certain foods, or a month of exercise, and for me now, a wrap every Monday or Tuesday.  The results are FABULOUS, with all of these things, but if I don't HELP them, I haven't helped myself.  I was the size/weight I was for a reason, who knows...stress, metabolism, love of pizza and beer, whatever!  And it seems the easier it is to reach the goal, the more I forget that I need to be responsible for keeping myself there or suffer the consequences.  I'm learning! Knowing that fact is half the battle...so, I am going to be responsible for maintaining my results, not just expect that things have magically changed forever.

Water Can Taste Good!!

Check out these recipes from Farmacology Organics, I have always loved the Classical, but am really intrigued by the Watermelon.  You do need to mix these in a glass pitcher for best results, plastic takes something away, for whatever reason.  NOTE: All recipes start with 10 cups of water and should be left in the refrigerator overnight before serving. Now, put down that soda, hydrate yourself and enjoy!!

1) The Classical : Lemon/Cucumber:
1 cucumber and a lemon, thinly sliced + 1/4 cup fresh finely chopped basil leaf + 1/3 of finely chopped fresh mint leaves.

2) The Granite : Strawberry/Lime or Raspberry/Lime
6 strawberries / 0r Raspberries and one thinly sliced lime + 12 finely chopped fresh mint leaves.

3) The Digestive : Fennel/Citrus
First: infuse 1 to 3 grams of dried and crushed fennel in 150 ml of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Allow to cool.
1 lemon,  juice and put the leftover lemon in the mix) + a small thinly sliced orange + 12 fresh chopped mint leaves + the infusion of fennel seeds.

4) The Antiox : Blackberry/Sage
Note that apart from the berries, sage leaves are the herb that has the highest antioxidant content.
1 cup of blackberries that have been very slightly crushed + 3-4 sage leaves.

5) Watermelon : Watermelon/Rosemary
1 cup of watermelon cut into cubes + 2 rosemary stems.

6) The Exotic : Pineapple/Mint
1 cup of pineapple cut into cubes + 12 fresh mint leaves finely chopped.

7) The Traditional : Apple/Cinnamon
1 cup of apple cut into cubes + 2 cinnamon sticks + 2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

8.) The Zingibir : Ginger/Tea
In advance: heat 1 teaspoon of ginger in two cups of tea, let it cool down.
2 cups of the ginger tea + 4-5 pieces of fresh ginger cut into cubes.

Water Vs. Coke

Very interesting indeed! Water or Coke? We all know that water is important but I’ve never seen it written down like this before.

WATER
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 30%.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

And now for the properties of COKE

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the “real thing” sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

For Your Info
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?
